Description
Apex Phon is a high-performance sound-insulating birch plywood panel engineered with a composite cork, rubber, or rubber-cork core to significantly reduce noise and vibration. Built on a base of 100% Baltic birch veneer and bonded with phenol-formaldehyde (WBP) adhesive, it delivers excellent strength, water resistance, and durability, while achieving outstanding acoustic insulation.
The inner core material can be selected based on the project needs:
Cork offers a lightweight solution while still delivering solid sound absorption.
Rubber enhances vibration damping and offers superior noise protection, ideal for high-impact environments.
Apex Phon complies with international standards for safety and indoor use, including E1, CARB, and EPA TSCA Title VI. The panel may also be overlaid with HPL, CPL, or fiberglass (pebbled or smooth) for added surface protection and application-specific performance.
This plywood is widely used in both civil and industrial construction as well as transport manufacturing, providing improved health and comfort in rail cars, buses, trams, metro systems, and marine vessels where acoustic performance is critical.
