Apex Guard is a fire-rated birch plywood panel engineered for enhanced flame resistance, moderate smoke generation, and low emission of hazardous substances during combustion. Built from 100% Baltic birch veneer and bonded with phenol-formaldehyde (WBP) adhesive, this panel maintains high structural integrity and water resistance, even when exposed to challenging environmental conditions.

Each layer of veneer is impregnated with flame-retardant compounds, delivering uniform fire protection throughout the panel. Unlike surface-treated alternatives, Apex Guard offers consistent performance even after machining or cutting. For lighter-weight or application-specific builds, panels can also be produced using select deciduous wood veneers to modify density and physical properties while maintaining flame resistance.

For cost-sensitive or flexible-use projects, Apex Guard is also available in variants where only the face veneers are treated, providing solid fire performance at a more accessible price point. The product meets Euroclass B -s1, d0 standards, making it suitable for use in commercial and regulatory-compliant environments.

In addition to its fire-resistant qualities, the panel receives insecticidal and antifungal treatments, increasing its longevity in demanding or exposed environments. Optional overlays such as HPL or fiberglass can be added to further protect the surface and expand the panel’s application range.
